The purpose of this program is to educate UNLV students preparing for their professions in an increasingly diverse world of work. This panel and mixer event is designed to introduce students to professional role models, leaders, and key employing organizations that embrace diversity in their workplace environments.

An ally is a person or group who supports you or your organization, cares for you/your organization and speaks for you/your organization when you have no voice. Do you know someone or some organization that deserves recognition for their efforts? Nominate them to receive an award at the Ally Recognition Mixer at http://msa.unlv.edu. Nominations close April 10. Food will be provided.

Hotel Rwanda Viewing - 4 p.m. - Student Union Theatre
Come watch the thought-provoking film "Hotel Rwanda" and talk about global poverty, hunger, disease, efforts to fight such problems in the world's poorest countries, and how you can volunteer abroad. Discussion will be lead by members from the ONE Campaign, an organization created to fight global AIDS and extreme poverty.

Asian-Pacific Islander Heritage Program Community of Contrasts - Alumni Amphitheater 5 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Within the Asian/Asian American and Pacific Heritage community are many ethnicities and experiences. This event will acknowledge and celebrate this diversity. There will be discussion about and food from several distinct communities. This event is part of the Asian/Pacific Islander Heritage Month celebration at UNLV and UnityFest and is sponsored by Students Organizing Diversity Activities (S.O.D.A.).

Greenery Day is a festival based on the Japanese holiday that promotes communion with nature and a healthy environment. This event will include cultural performances throughout the day and an informational maze with booths focusing on green issues and promoting environmental programs in the Las Vegas area.
