“The Golden Anniversary” is upon us at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas! At universities nationwide, Homecoming is a time used to promote school spirit, celebrate alumni, bring together community members, and continue school traditions. As UNLV celebrates its 50th Birthday we will bring back some old traditions and take a look into the past as we jump towards the future! The 2007 celebration will begin with our Window Decorating Contest on Sunday, October 14th thru the Rebel Football game vs. Colorado State University on Saturday, October 20th. So get ready to welcome back alumni and to show your school spirit at one of UNLVs most honored traditions.
"The Golden Anniversary!" theme gives us a chance to pull together a diverse group of people and unite them under a common goal: promoting Rebel spirit and tradition. As you prepare for a week of fun and excitement, keep in mind the Fabulous Lifestyle and incorporate this theme into all of your activities and decorations.
UNLV is rich in history and tradition dating back to our days as the Southern Regional School of the University of Nevada in 1957. Homecoming is a time to remember our past while preparing for our future. Get involved with this year’s festivities!
