Family Weekend 2008 - Save the Date!

Friday, November 7 - Sunday, November 9, 2008

Come enjoy the Rebel Experience with your student at UNLV's 11 th Annual Family Weekend!   This weekend includes the traditional favorites along with some exciting new additions:

• New programming offerings focused on siblings - all ages are welcome!
• An expanded schedule of Parent 101 Courses - mini-courses taught by UNLV faculty and staff.
• An opening dinner, focused on showcasing the College of Engineering.  
• A Family Fun Fair, with activities hosted by student organizations.
• Rebels with A Cause- community service project, sponsored by Student Involvement and Activities.
• A family friendly tailgate and discounted tickets to the UNLV v. New Mexico football game.
• Wellness Day at the new Student Recreation and Wellness Center, including a 5K Walk/Run, intramural games, fitness expos, and a stress free zone.  

A complete schedule, along with lodging information will be posted on this web site in June.   In addition, a Family Weekend Save the Date postcard will be sent to parents in July using the student's permanent address on file with the university.
